Merry Christmas

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

May the true mystery of Christ bring you overflowing joy this Christmas!
Love,
Sean & Tara

we tried...

We tried to get a "family picture" this year. Scooby was a little too distracted to say cheese - even though he would eat some in a heart beat. Thought you might enjoy our efforts...

O Christmas Tree

I am sentimental about very few things, and Christmas ornaments make the short, distinguished list. Here are a few of my favorites ... sorry if this is boring.

From our first Christmas together ... 2002.

From my tree growing up.

December in Texas

Sean and I will be in Georgia this Christmas as he prepares his dissertation and application "packets" to send to colleges & universities across the U.S.A.. In order to see our families, we are taking short trips to Texas before and after Christmas. I went a few weeks ago, and captured a Kodak moment. To all our non-Texan friends, this is not a typical event ... longhorns and horses do not run freely across the state ... I was pretty scared. To all our Aggie friends ... saw 'em off ... SHORT!

Thanksgiving 2007

This Thanksgiving we went up to Charlotesville, VA to visit Sean's sister, Stacy, her husband Alex, and 9 month old son, Hutch. We had a great time. Sean and Alex got to see some ACC football, we watched the Aggies beat t.u. (whoop!), ate tasty food, shopped on Black Friday, and got to spend a lot of time with our youngest godson. He's got a cute personality, with a dimple to match!

Fall 2007

The Big Catching Up Post

We've been relatively busy over the past few months, and a lot has happened in the McGuire household. Most recently, over the past couple of weeks, Sean became an official Ph.D. candidate when he successfully defended the proposal to his dissertation. We are so excited about this milestone and are praising God for this blessing! I also had my thyroid removed a week ago today. My parents came up to have fun pre-surgery, and to help me recover post surgery. Needless to say, Sean and I will be eating very well for months! My mom is such a blessing - she cooked, cleaned, and kept wonderful company, as only a momma can. Michael also graced us with a wireless router and helped Sean hook it up, without which we would be without this long-ado catching up post!

Here are a few pics from their visit.

You're a great momma, Momma!

In June, after visiting the Jehle's in Denver, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in Savannah, GA. Savannah was fun, beautiful, and hot! Here are some pics from our trip.

The above pictures were of some of Savannah's squares.
